The Jefferson, Keokuk and Mahaska County Conservation Boards are teaming up with ISU Extension to offer a “Iowa Master Conservationist Program” beginning July 20th. The program is designed to provide Iowans with the resources necessary to make informed choices for a sustainable life-style, and will be held in various locations throughout the three counties. Topics may include: soil conservation, forestry, and prairie restoration. There is a $60 fee for the class and space is awarded on a first come, first serve basis. For more information or to register for the “Iowa Master Conservationist Program”, contact the Keokuk County Extension office by July 2nd.
