press play to hear from State Climatologist Harry Hillaker

It appears that hot sticky weather is here to stay. State Climatologist Harry Hillaker says summer seems to have arrived rather suddenly this year. He expects high temperatures to last into next week. Hillaker says the long term outlook suggests a wetter, cooler summer due to high soil moisture. Hillaker says on the other hand, the El Nino event that affected the area over the winter is dying out, which often leads to warmer drier summer weather.
