The Washington Demon girls basketball team had their end of the season awards banquet last night. Demon Head Coach Phil Long says they handed out team awards including:

Rookie of the Year – Regan Enfield
Queen of the Boards – Jonte Thornton and Caitlin Fishback
Defensive Player of the Year – Lucy Libe
Offensive Player of the Year – Cassey Sobaski
Most Improved – Jenna Krebs.

The girls also received academic accolades from the state for team performance in the classroom. And in addition to the awards they saw the team picture that will go up in Washington High School hall in recognition of their conference championship. The Demons went through the conference unbeaten and beat two of those schools a third time in the post season.
