In the boys game, the Golden Hawks had to play comeback basketball and nearly pulled it off but North Cedar got the win 63-60. Mid-Prairie Head Coach Don Showalter says they fought back and it was decided at the charity stripe in the end, with North Cedar making 20 free throws and the Golden Hawks making just one. Showalter says the Golden Hawks outscored them from the field but the free throw line hurt them. Tanner Miller had 13, Michael Aldeman 14, Quinn Hollan 10 Dylan Hochstetler 10 Mark Aldeman 8. In the game Kaleb Duwa aggrivated a shoulder injury from football and Showalter says he’s hopeful Duwa will be able to be back in the lineup Thursday when they have a makeup game with West Branch.
