A Washington man is recovering at a Cedar Rapids hospital after a plane crash Sunday night. 64 year old Douglas Tindal was taken to St. Luke’s after his single engine aircraft went down east of the Eastern Iowa Airport just after 8:00 Sunday. A hospital spokesperson says he was in stable condition Monday morning. It was the second crash near the airport this weekend. Another single engine plane went down Saturday night injuring three.
