Things are mostly back to normal after a blast of wintry weather last week. The Iowa Department of Transportation says all state maintained roadways have been cleared. The DOT says they began permitting movement of oversize loads over the weekend. The state agency’s road condition map shows all highways as “normal.” That’s influenced by seasonal conditions and is currently defined as “normal winter driving conditions.” Motorists are asked to continue to use caution and be aware of occasional patches of ice.
