Washington County Supervisors will respond this week to a proposal from the labor union representing sheriff’s deputies. Teamsters Local 238 is asking for a 6.5 percent increase in county contributions to health and medical insurance. They’re also requesting a 5.5 percent increase in scheduled pay raises. The supervisors are expected to present their response this Wednesday morning at 9:30 at the courthouse.
