The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk girls basketball team kicks off their season on the road tonight taking on West Liberty. Golden Hawk Head Coach Marc Pennington says they are very young with only three returning letter winners Renita Miller, Erin Cayton, and Brittnee Stumpf . He says they only return thirteen total points from last year so he feels they are pretty much starting from scratch. He feels their strength will be their athleticism. Pennington says they have several girls that can get up and down the court quickly. The Golden Hawks head to West Liberty tonight.
