Iowa’s 2010 Legislative Session will be 20 days shorter than usual. Other legislative spending reductions include cuts to lawmaker reimbursements, eliminating travel, hiring freezes and furloughs. House and Senate leaders met last week and agreed to the roughly ten percent in cuts. The move was a response to the governor’s cuts in the executive branch.
