The chair of the Washington County Board of Supervisors is concerned that the decline in Iowa’s Public Employee Retirement Systems Fund could result in strain on local tax revenue. Jim Miksch says IPERS is funded primarily by employers. He’s says if employers were required to contribute more, they would have to use property tax money to support it.
