People who come down with the flu this fall will probably never know whether it’s the seasonal or H1N1 strain. Crystal Woller, with Washington County Public Health, says they are not confirming H1N1 with a test, because it would overwhelm labs. She also says it’s really not necessary. Public health and local schools have been working together to develop a plan and educate students and parents about the seasonal and H1N1 flu. They say parents should also have a plan in place in case their child has to stay home sick.
