Students at Lincoln Elementary School in Washington have competed against each other on geographical knowledge. Early in the month, Lincoln had a school-wide geography bee.  Fourth-grade teacher Chad Hippon says it started with classroom contests that led to more competitive rounds.

The questions challenged students on a range of knowledge from historical mid-west information to place-names and locations in the southern United States, to South America, to southern Africa and Asia.  Alexa Mitchell finished in first place.
