Washington County’s unemployment rate remained steady last month, while the workforce increased. According to the report released by Iowa Workforce Development the County’s unemployment stayed at 3.6% in October. At the same time an additional 100 people were added to the workforce. Washington County’s unemployment rate is lower than the statewide average and less than half the nationwide which rose in October to 7.9%.
