Marr Park in Ainsworth has several new additions in the works. Director of the County Conservation Board Steve Anderson says they have expanded the campgrounds, and are almost finished with that project. He says they just need to put up new signs and it will be finished by the start of the camping season. They are also planning a trail that would connect Ainsworth to Marr Park. They have an engineer’s estimate set between 3 and 4 hundred thousand dollars for that project, but have not taken and contractors bids yet. The funding is already available for that path through a grant from the Riverboat Foundation. They are also almost done with a project that involved remodeling a popular shelter in the park.
