There is still time to sign up to be in the Washington Chamber of Commerce Ridiculous Day Parade.
This year they are leaning into the nation’s 250th birthday with a patriotic theme. The times and route are similar to last year, the parade will take place on Saturday, June 6th. Floats should arrive at the UP Church and Goodwill parking lots between 4 and 5 p.m.
The cost is free unless you want to participate in the float competition. Those who wish to do so, should register and pay a $10 entry fee. The winner will receive a traveling trophy and a 50/50 cash prize. Kids are encouraged to join the parade. They can walk or bring a bike or small motorized vehicle, or kids can meet near the registration table to walk through the parade with a Chamber volunteer.
A link to register and the parade route for both the antique tractors and regular floats can be found with this news story at KCIIRadio.com.
