This week’s KCII Area Athlete of the Week spotlights a group, a Crew from Columbus. The boys track team 4x800m relay and from the girls track team thrower Bella Forbes. Both qualified for the state meet in Des Moines with performances at the Class 2A state qualifier meet at Tipton. The boys relay ran 8:30.65, a new PR for the group by more than 19 seconds. Forbes threw 37’10.25″ in shot put. Each event finished third and made Des Moines as performance qualifiers. Forbes is ranked in top 15 of Class 2A in shot put. Congratulations Wildcats!
