This week’s KCII Area Athlete of the Week, Lone Tree Senior Domonic Garcia. He is a member of the Columbus/Lone Tree boys track and field team. The Wildcats had a big week, winning the team championship at the Lone Tree meet with an impressive 250 point total. Garcia was a triple relay champ as a member of the ‘Cats sprint medley, 4×100 and 4x200m relays. Columbus/Lone Tree also won the Central City meet team championship last week where Garcia and the 4×200 team won the title and set a new school record. Garcia was also the individual 200 champ and part of the winning 4x100m team at Central City. The Columbus/Lone Tree boys 4x100m and 4x200m relays are both ranked in the top 10 in Class 2A. Garcia will run at the Drake Relays this week as a member of the 4x100m relay for the Wildcats. Congratulations Domonic!
