The Washington County Board of Supervisors heard the quarterly report from the recorder on Tuesday.
County Recorder Teresa Mangold noted an increase in boat registrations with the arrival of spring, “Recordings were up a little bit with the warmer weather which is a trend that we usually see in the summer, but it is pretty standard as far as that goes. We are picking up a little bit with the warm weather with people getting their boats out, and their ATVs and RVs so that’s good as well.”
The recorder’s office issues marriage applications, registers birth, death, and marriage records, and provides certified copies of these documents. They provide registration, title, and lien services for those who own recreational vehicles such as boats, snowmobiles, and ATVs. In addition, they assist in completing and mailing applications for passports, including photo services.
