Washington junior Blaine Rees spent this fall locking down opposing defensive linemen, and now he’s locked down another All-State selection. Rees was named Class 3A Second-Team All-State on the offensive line by the Iowa Print Sports Writer’s Association for his 2025 season.

This year as a two-way player, Rees was a member of a Washington offensive line that helped the Demons score 25 points per game. Defensively, Rees had 85 tackles, fifth most in Class 3A, six for loss, with a sack and a forced fumble. He was a First-Team All-District linebacker in Class 3A District 4.

Rees was a Iowa Football Coaches Association and Iowa Grandstand Sports All-State selection along with teammate Greyson Hartman. Washington finished the year with a 5-4 overall record.
