The Washington Demon boys basketball team was a winner early last week at Grinnell 72-60. Washington pulled away methodically during the night, on top 18-15 after one and 31-28 at half. The Demons won the second half 41-32. Washington rode hot shooting to the win at 49% on the night with six made threes. Washington won the glass 34-22, had 15 assists, seven steals and won turnovers 12-8. Drew Conrad led with 22 points and seven assists. Nic Stone scored 17, Kael Williams 13 and Rajan Roth had a 12 point 12 board double double. The win moved Washington to 4-1 on the year while the Tigers dropped to 0-5.
