The No. 4 in Class 3A Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk volleyball team went west Saturday for a tournament at Carlisle. The Golden Hawks went 3-1 with wins over Des Moines East 21-5 and 21-13, Des Moines North 21-7 and 21-11 and the home Wildcats 21-15 and 21-12. They dropped a match to Southeast Polk 21-17 and 21-18. Mid-Prairie leaders included Jovi Evans with 35 assists, 25 digs, 24 kills, seven aces, and two blocks. Avery Helmuth had 41 assists. Harper Pacha had 21 kills and two blocks. Jeorgia Evans had 39 digs 20 kills and five aces. Elise Foster 34 digs. Five aces for Katelyn Harland and two blocks for Laurin Fay. Mid-Prairie is now 18-5 on the year with a trip to Tipton Thursday.
