City Council elections will be held on November 4th and in Washington that includes four positions this fall.

The positions that will be on the ballot include: Mayor, At-Large City Councilor, Ward 2 City Councilor, and Ward 4 City Councilor. These positions are currently filled by Millie Youngquit, Elaine Moore, Ivan Rangel, and Fran Stigers respectively. 

Ward 2 is the northeast area of town and Ward 4 is the southwest area of town.

The candidate filing period is from August 25-September 18th. The Washington City Council is made up of six citizens of Washington who regularly meet twice a month on the first and third Tuesdays at 6 p.m. Other special meetings are called as needed and special budget meetings are held in January and February.
