Pam Davis of Crawfordsville was awarded the 2025 4-H Hall of Fame Award at the Washington county Fair.

Davis was recognized on July 17th as Washington County’s 2025 4-H Hall of Fame inductee on the Lions Stage during the 4-H awards ceremony. She is the co-leader of the Crooked Creek 4-H club and has been for over 25 years, is a staple in the sheep barn and department at the Washington County Fair, and gives her time as an office volunteer. In 2022, the Davis family was recognized as the 4-H Hall of Fame Family of the Year.

Davis shared some words after receiving the honor, “I just want to challenge everyone to give as much as I hope I have given to you, and I appreciate the gifts and all of the donations. And if it wasn’t for my family I wouldn’t be here. Thank you.”

Each Iowa county is invited to nominate a recipient annually who is recognized again formally by the Iowa 4-H Foundation during a ceremony at the State Fair on August 17th. The inductees have demonstrated dedication, encouragement, commitment and guidance to Iowa’s 4-H’ers through the years. The Iowa 4-H Hall of Fame was initiated in 2002 to help commemorate the 100th anniversary of 4-H.
