A plea agreement has been filed in the arson case of Reuven Miller. According to court records, the plea agreement outlines Miller pleading to the lesser offense of arson in the second degree, a class C felony; operating while intoxicated, a serious misdemeanor; and interference with official acts, a simple misdemeanor. The open plea states that probation shall be for a period of five years for a felony and two years for a misdemeanor. It also outlines that the State may take any sentencing recommendations at the time of sentencing.
Miller was arrested in January after allegedly trying to set a house on fire by using fireworks, while knowing someone else was in the home. He was originally charged with arson in the first degree, a class B felony, and harassment in the first degree, an aggravated misdemeanor.
A sentencing hearing has been scheduled for July 25th at the Washington County Courthouse.
