The Hillcrest Academy Raven baseball team dropped a crossover contest in the Southeast Iowa Superconference Friday night to visiting Mediapolis 16-1 in four innings. The Bulldogs scored six to open the game and added on with three more in the second and a seven spot in the fourth to end the game early. The Ravens lone run came in the third. Hillcrest was out hit 9-1 and surrendered eight walks while drawing four of their own. Mason Bender had the hit, Liam Schrock walked twice and scored the run. Rowan Miller took the loss on the hill, going three and a third with seven hits, 13 earned runs, and eight walks with a strikeout. The Ravens drop to 2-1 this year as MEPO moves to 9-1. Hillcrest sees Van Buren at home Monday.
