
A Wellman man was arrested in Missouri on a local warrant for multiple weapons, theft, and assault offenses on Monday morning. According to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, at 10:20 a.m. local authorities were notified that 26-year-old Jonathan Lynn Beckler was arrested in Moberly, Missouri on five Washington County warrants.
Beckler has been charged with domestic abuse assault second offense, child endangerment, assault with display of a weapon, making firearms available to a minor, three counts of dominion control of firearm offensive weapon by a domestic abuse offender, two counts of assault while participating in a felony, two counts of possession of a controlled substance second offense, two counts of unlawful possession of prescription drugs, possession of a controlled substance marijuana second offense, fraudulent registration, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was also wanted on the charges of theft in the first degree, criminal mischief and a rabies vaccine violation. According to court records, some of the listed charges are associated with an incident that allegedly occurred during a domestic dispute in Wellman in March.
He was taken to the Randolph County Jail and a detainer was placed. The total bond was set at $65,900.
