The Washington City Council approved a service agreement with Impressions Computers at their meeting on Tuesday. City Attorney Kevin Olson had some concerns about the contract and brought them before the council, “The total agreement is for $2,000 plus $90 per hour. There were a couple of items in there that I wanted to discuss with the vendor’s attorney. In section 4.1A there is a limitation of liability, the limitation of liability on this contract for this vendor is $2,000 that’s what the payment is. I asked that that be removed. The second item is that both parties get their own insurance. Usually when we have a vendor or a contractor that works for the City, we have the contractor get insurance and name the City as additional insured. I did talk to the vendor’s attorney about this, they declined to change either item that I requested.” The City has used Impressions Computers for IT services for nineteen years.
