Pork producers and anyone interested in being certified in the “Pork Quality Assurance Plus” program can now register for a two-hour course Wednesday at the Washington County Extension Office in Washington. The class is a joint venture by The Iowa Pork Industry and Iowa State University Extension and costs twenty-five-dollars. ISU Extension swine field specialist Tom Miller will teach the course, and encourages participants to RSVP “to ensure that [the class has] adequate materials for everyone” that attends. To pre-register, contact the Washington County Extension Office at 653.4811. The “Pork Quality Assurance Plus” class is Wednesday from 7 to 9 pm.
