The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk boys soccer team collected their third straight match win on Friday, knocking off Columbus on the road 3-1.

Mid-Prairie got things started early with a pair of goals from Ashten VanWinkle in the first 12 minutes of the contest. Columbus got a tally from Chance Colby on a header in the final minute of play in the first half, leaving the score at 2-1 going to the break. In the second half, Mid-Prairie got an insurance goal from Aaron Slabaugh in the 58th minute and the Golden Hawk defense made that stand up for the win. After the victory, Mid-Prairie is now 4-2 on the year, Columbus falls to 2-4.
