For the first time in at least a decade, the Winfield-Mt. Union softball team earned itself a winning season. They also had a winning record of 9-7 in conference play, and much of that success can be attributed to their power.
The Wolves were second in the Superconference in RBI with 79 throughout conference play, only behind the conference, and eventual state, champs in Louisa-Muscatine, and were tops in the conference in homers with six. Those six home runs came from Molly Miller and Liana Sweezer, both of which will be back next season. Miller was also named second-team all-conference.
