A student had a “look-a-like air-soft gun” on a school bus in Washington Wednesday.

According to a notice sent to parents by the Washington Community School District, Lincoln Elementary School officials confiscated it from a student during the early dismissal. School officials are investigating the incident. According to the message from the school “absolutely no threats were made, but it appears that the look-a-like air-soft gun was being shown to other students on the early out day.” The district personnel followed protocol and is taking the situation seriously. The district makes safety a top priority and is “thankful that this situation has been handled without incident.”
