The farmers market season in Wellman starts this week.

Residents will be able to purchase local produce and goods weekly from July 11 through October. Parks and Recreation Director Teresa Lampe says the schedule also depends about merchants availability. There is no booth fee to take part in the Wellman Farmers Market. The farmers market takes place from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Bidwell-Lockett Park near Freeman Foods every Tuesday beginning July 11.
