For the first time in 19 days, Washington received rain Wednesday.

Approximately a quarter of an inch of rain fell. Prior to that the last rain was about an inch on May 26th. According to the National Weather Service, the normal precipitation amount for the first two weeks of June is 2.34 inches. While rainfall is below normal, temperatures so far this month are above normal figures. The average temperature has been observed at 72.7 degrees, above the normal 68.4 degrees.
