Early voting is now available in Washington County for area city council races as well as a county-wide bond issue. Voters may cast a ballot in person at the Washington County Auditor’s Office until 11 a.m. November 3rd. Also, a ballot can be mailed to a voter’s residence if a request form is submitted. The bond vote is for a new Washington County Public Health building, which will be constructed on Lexington Boulevard on county-owned land. The bond is for $2 million and the project is estimated to cost $2.8 million, grants are being sought for the project. A public forum about the public health building will be held next Wednesday, October 21st, at 7 p.m. at the Washington Public Library.
