The Mid-Prairie boys’ track team had their first meet indoors at Central College last Friday.
They scored 19 points and placed ninth out of 21 teams. Junior Ryan Errthum placed second in the 3200 meter run. Senior Colin Weber finished in fourth place for Mid-Prairie in the 400 meter dash. Sophomore Levi Duwa finished in third place in the shot put in competition with a throw of 50 feet, 11 inches.
The Golden Hawks’ 4×400 anchored by Peyton Miller, Marshall Teets, Andrew Schwartz and Cary Schaefer finished in ninth.
Mid-Prairie will have their first outdoor track meet on Thursday at the Demon Relays in Washington.
