The Washington Demon wrestling team competed over the weekend in a tournament in Mediapolis.

The Demons three undefeated wrestlers (Austin Hazelett, Alex Gonzalez, Brad Skubal) each suffered their first loss of the season. Hazelett (126) and Skubal (195) suffered their losses in the first place matches, while Gonzalez (152) had his setback in the semifinal match. Gonzalez won the consolation match to finish in third place.

Others who placed at the tournament included: Andrew Waite (113; 3rd), Kyle Anderson (120; 2nd), Michael Ellingson (132; 3rd), Trey Van Weelden (138; 2nd), Karlton Skubal (182; 1st), Seth Townsen (220; 2nd), and Mitchell Huisenga (285; 3rd).
