Contractors at Lake Darling State Park are putting the finishing touches on the renovation. The park outside of Brighton opened with a ribbon cutting ceremony in late July following years of work to improve the campground and lake.

The campground will not be on the state park campsite online reservation system this year. According to park manager, Merrill Lucas, they’re operating on a first come, first served basis, so it’s a good idea to call ahead to ensure there’s an open campsite.
