Temperatures dipped 14 degrees below zero yesterday in the area. The record low for yesterday was negative 18 degrees in 1899. Temperatures are expected to rise tomorrow to the mid-twenties and Thursday the mercury is supposed to rise above freezing to approximately 38 degrees, according to AccuWeather.
