A bid for the final work at Lake Darling State Park is up for the Natural Resource Commission’s approval. According to Chad Dolan, DNR Fisheries Biologist, the around five and a half million dollar bid is for sediment removal and shoreline rehabilitation. The commission will also consider authorizing a contract with the bidding company, JB Holland of Decorah.
Dolan notes that he and Southeast Parks Supervisor Tom Basten, as well as representatives from Washington Economic Development Group and Chicaqua Chapter of Isaak Walton League, will be present to express the importance of this project’s completion.
The meeting is being held Thursday morning in Des Moines.
