Highland baseball defeated New London 11-5 last night.

In a 5-5 tie in the bottom of the sixth, the Huskies came through with an six run explosion of offense with a Grand Slam from Jessie Hootman.

Derrick Stewart went 3-3 in the game with two singles, a double and two runs. Jacob Wilson went the distance for the Huskies giving up five runs on seven hits and striking out seven.

Highland plays the regular season finale on Friday against Clear Creek Amana
