The Des Moines Police Department has identified a Keota man as the person killed in a single-vehicle accident along Interstate 235 on Tuesday.

Shawn Livingston, 42, of Keota was driving his Chevrolet Colorado on the Interstate 235 exit ramp toward East University Avenue around 7 a.m. when his truck crashed into a concrete support barrier. Police and fire crews were called to the area. Livingston was pronounced dead at the scene.

The exit ramp was closed while the Des Moines Police Department conducted an investigation into the accident. The cause of the accident has not yet been determined.
