The Sigourney Savage and Keota Eagle girls golf teams took on the best in the South Iowa Cedar League Monday at the SICL Championship meet hosted in Oskaloosa.
Sigourney shot a team score 416 to finish fourth of 11. BGM won the team title with a 363. Top Savage score was Ella Bruns who led all area players with a 96 to finish eighth. Aly Steil of North Mahaska won the individual championship with a 79. Other Sigourney scorecards included Adalynne Tremmel 102, Ella Fineran 108 and Clara Hanselman 110.
Keota was seventh as a team with a 433. Top Eagles were Brynn Conrad and Halle Heisdorffer with matching 105s to place top 20. Other Keota cards included Emily Conger 109 and Hadley Cave 114.
Following the tournament, Sigourney stands at 28-12 on the year, while Keota is 8-22.
