The Washington County Supervisors will be discussing a request from the City of Wellman for financial support for the Wellman Veterans and First Responders Memorial Project that was tabled last week. 

The City is seeking financial support from the county, as they have applied for a grant for funding that requests entities have county support for a project. The question of using donated funds for this project was brought up before the topic was tabled at the last meeting. The City of Wellman will be placing honor pavers engraved with the names and service information of a chosen individual, and will be located within the Freedom Plaza area of the memorial. Wellman will host a dedication ceremony as a part of this year’s Fourth of July celebrations. A specific amount of funding by the county was not stated. 

Also on the agenda is a personnel change request from public health and the jail. 

The meeting is open to the public and set to begin at 9 a.m. in Orchard Hill Building three.
