Washington soccer split with Fairfield for the second time this season, with the girls taking a win back to Washington and the boys dropping on on their home field.

The Washington girls earned a 3-2 win on the road. It proved to be a hard-fought win, with the Demons going down 1-0 at the break to a team they had beaten 4-1 earlier in the season. However, Washington found its stride, going 3-1 in the second half to come up with the win. Washington gets back to .500 on the season at 6-6, while Fairfield goes down to 4-6-1.

Meanwhile, at home, the boys dropped a 3-0 decision. The game was tied at the half, but the Trojans broke through after the break, with sophomore Oliver Siemsen scoring a couple of goals and Noah Patel capping things off for Fairfield. Washington falls to 4-7-2, with Fairfield going up to 8-3-1.

Both Demon teams will be back at it after the weekend, with both teams taking on Keokuk on Monday. The girls will hit the road, while the boys will host in the second matchup between the Demons and Chiefs this season.
