The Washington County Sheriff’s Office gave their quarterly report at the Washington County Board of Supervisors meeting on Tuesday.

Sergeant Bill Fiordelise gave the presentation, stating an increase in funds for the last quarter, “For this quarter we turned over $51,500, about a $10,000 increase from last quarter. That fluctuates with time. A lot of that was an increase in gun permits that were renewing, we had a bunch of those come in.” A new gun permit costs $50, and a renewal costs $25. The permit is valid for five years.

Other fees that the Sheriff’s Office collects include booking fees, room and board, and service fees. The Supervisors approved the report unanimously.
