
The boys and girls of Winfield-Mt. Union golf continue to roll through the competition, with both the boys and girls earning wins over Louisa-Muscatine on Monday.
The boys defeated the Falcons 163-178. Cody Milks was the Wolves’ top scorer, going three-over at 39. Other Wolves contributing to the team score were Konner Kinneburg and Nicholas Sparrow at 41, and Justin Knipfer at 42. Max Edwards and Grant Anderson also broke 50 on the day. Louisa-Muscatine’s Chase Loving finished second overall at a four-over 40.
Meanwhile, the girls earned a 219-259 win. Ashlyn Bender was the Wolves’ leader, scoring a 12-over 48. Other Wolves contributing to the team score were Ella Kann at 55, Brynn Pogmore at 57, and Kellee Milks at 59. The Falcons were led by Rhylann Lessenger’s 59.
