Sixteen Washington High School FFA members attended the Annual FFA Leadership Conference held on April 19-21st in Ames.
Members participated in different activities such as convention sessions, a career show, career development events and leadership development events. They were also able to watch other FFA members perform in a talent show, attend a bar-b-que and enjoy an evening of dancing at the Fun Night that was available to members.
One highlight of the conference was Braydon Clough received his Iowa FFA Degree and went across the stage at the final session to receive the State Degree. Only 3% of the Iowa FFA members receive this which is the highest honor that the Iowa FFA can award. This degree is based on their involvement in FFA and their Supervised Agricultural Experience that they keep records on.

The poultry judging team of Shamus Johnson, Malakai Jones, Kenzie Thomas, and Seth Vicker received a Bronze rating.
