All that glitters was gold Monday, and it went home from Lagos Acres Golf Course in Keota with the Sigourney Savages. Sigourney won all levels of a South Iowa Cedar League triangular matchup with the Montezuma Braves and the home Eagles.

The Sigourney boys shot a 167 group score to squeeze by the Eagles and their 171. Jordan Tremmel was the individual champ with his blistering even par 36. Other Savage cards included Solon Yates 42, Hayden Bensmiller 44, Ike Molyneux 45, Josh Wyatt 46 and Landon Conrad 51.

Medalist runner-up Porter Cave led the Eagles with a 39. Other Keota cards included Aspen Galindo, Blake Baker, and Jacob Libe with 44 each, Tucker Sprouse 45 and Brycen Horras 50. Sigourney stands at 16-1 on the season while Keota is 13-2.

In the girls event, the Savages were the lone team to post a score, shooting a group total 213. Ella Bruns and Kayla Renner tied as medalists with 51 each, followed by Ellie Ireland 55, and Clara Hanselman 56. Keota’s top score was Hadley Cave at 59 with Emily Conger next at 66 and Halle Heisdorffer 75. Sigourney is now 3-1 on the year.
