The National Weather Service of the Quad Cities has noted the potential for more heavy rain showers for the area Thursday. 

Widespread showers and storms with a 70-90% chance will move through the area Thursday into Friday. Some of these storms may be strong to severe, with a level 1 of 5 risk of severe storms for eastern Iowa.  

Given the recent flood watches and warnings in the area it is good to keep in mind that significant rainfall can cause flash flooding in some areas.
