Raven senior Rowan Miller brought high level basketball to Hillcrest Academy this season and he’s earned honors at the state level for his play.
Miller was named to the Second-Team in Class 1A by Sports Illustrated. Miller’s 189 assists led the Ravens and all of Class 1A, to go with 366 points, fifth in the Southeast Iowa Superconference, 141 made field goals, sixth in league play, 110 rebounds, 86 steals second in conference and 31 made threes, ninth most. He is also the school record holder for total assists in a game, season, career and assist per game average.
Miller was also an All-Superconference and All-Substate selection. He is joined on the Second-Team by Talan Pletz of Janesville, Brody Heifner of Belmond-Klemme, Khael Jones of North Union, Carter Kleinwolterink of Boyden-Hull, Gabe Staley of Hamburg and Mason Camden of East Mills.
Hillcrest won the Southeast Iowa Superconference North Division title for the second straight season, the first time they have gone back-to-back in 15 years, ending with a 20-5 overall record.
